Peter founded the company in 1985, with the particular aim of providing a comprehensive engineering consultancy service to the planning and development sectors which remains the company's core business today.
Peter had previously worked for consulting engineers and project management companies in the UK and overseas for 14 years. He has acted for many of the country's leading house builders and land developers in promoting development projects. His experience in private sector development work covers the technical and financial aspects of large scale residential, industrial, commercial, retail and leisure schemes.
Peter has specialised in the field of development planning, advising clients on highways, traffic and drainage related aspects and the environmental impact of proposals. He regularly presents evidence to planning inquiries.
Graham has widespread experience gained working for 16 years in the public sector. Having joined PFA in 1986, he is now responsible for supervising project teams dealing with major development proposals in various parts of the UK.
The work encompasses feasibility studies, site appraisals and planning advice including appearances at public inquiries and the preparation of legal agreements. Graham has worked with many of the country's leading Counsel and also acts as an advocate himself. Graham also provides expert advice on highways, traffic and the drainage aspects of development.
Chris joined the company in 1987 having previously been employed in the public sector and with consulting engineers. Chris has extensive experience of the planning of strategic infrastructure required to serve major residential, commercial and industrial developments.
His specific experience includes advising and representing clients at a variety of planning forums, negotiating with local and statutory authorities, supervising detailed designs of works and co-ordinating the preparation, letting and administration of civil engineering contracts.
John joined PFA Consulting in 1988 having previously worked for a number of international Plc's. He is a Fellow and Practising Certificate holder of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. In addition to his financial expertise he has a wide knowledge of company law and other statutory requirements.
John is responsible for the finance team and the administration team.
Martin has widespread experience of the construction industry having worked for a civil engineering contractor and two local authorities before joining PFA. His experience includes the project management of schemes from initial planning stages through to completion.
He has considerable expertise in dealing with the highway, traffic and drainage related aspects associated with new development. Martin frequently appears as an expert witness to give technical evidence at public inquiries.
Steve has previously worked for local authorities and consulting engineers. He has wide ranging experience in dealing with the highway, traffic, and drainage aspects associated with all types of development.
His main area of responsibility is the design and management of highway and drainage schemes, utilising considerable expertise in computer aided design and ground modelling techniques with a range of software packages.
Paul’s qualifications in both the fields of engineering and planning enhance the services the company is able to offer. He has over 30 years experience in highway and traffic engineering, transportation planning and airport related planning in both the UK and overseas.
Paul has previously worked for BAA and consultants. He has experience of transportation modelling, the preparation of major transport assessments and highway design. Paul regularly appears as an expert witness at public inquiries.
