Pollution from transport is known to be a major contributor to climate change and the aim of transport sustainable development is to improve accessibility so that motor vehicle use is reduced.
Travel Plans set out physical and behavioural measures which have the overall objective of reducing reliance on single occupancy motor vehicle travel. Increasingly, local planning and highway authorities are requiring Travel Plans to accompany planning applications, sometimes for relatively small developments.
PFA Consulting has wide experience of producing Travel Plans for all types of development and organisations and we are able to tailor the Travel Plan to the specific requirements of the development.
The key to the success of a Travel Plan is the Travel Plan Co-ordinator. We are able to provide experienced staff who can undertake this role or, alternatively, train the appropriate person employed by the client.
