Planning Permission Granted at Appeal

PFA Consulting was proud to be a key part of the multi-disciplinary project team, undertaking all the highway and transport related assessments for land at Fiddington, Ashchurch near Tewkesbury, which was granted planning permission at appeal under section 78 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 in January 2020.

Land at Fiddington was promoted as strategic site comprising residential development of up to 850 dwellings, a primary school, local centre with employment and other community uses. Robert Hitchins Ltd has over a number of years promoted the land through the planning system.

PFA Consulting undertook site appraisals, preparation of Transport Assessment, Travel Plan, transport modelling and preliminary junction and infrastructure designs. Working with both Highways England and Gloucestershire County Council, PFA Consulting agreed appropriate mitigation to address the transport impacts of the development, which included capacity improvements to M5 Junction 9.
