Canalside at Wichelstowe, Swindon

PFA Consulting were originally appointed to provide Engineering Planning Support including the preparation of a Transport Assessment for the reserve matters application for the first phase of the Canalside residential development comprising 105 dwellings, and was later appointed to carry out the on-site detailed design, which included the preparation of a set of highway standard details that will be used as a template for all future parcels.

The engineering design package prepared by the Company covered all the on-site estate roads, driveways, domestic and adoptable drainage which needed to incorporate the use of bio-retention features and water quality techniques in order to safely discharge the surface water into the canal.

PFA Consulting has also been appointed to provide planning support for the next two phases comprising a total of 290 Dwellings.
