PFA Consulting & Macmillan Castles Bike Ride
On Sunday 02 June, PFA Consulting organised a sustainable travel stall at Coate Water, Swindon, alongside the Macmillan Castles Bike Ride event. The stall was set up as part of our role as Travel Plan Co-ordinator for the neighbouring Badbury Park residential development.
Almost 200 keen riders participated in the event where there was a choice of distances available, suited to all ages and abilities. All proceeds were donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.
PFA offered free ‘Bike Security’ marking, free bike servicing and handed out a range of information provided by Swindon Borough Councils Travel Plan Officer Claire Fleming on walking and cycling in the local area including cycle maps, orienteering maps and tips on how to make cycling more enjoyable.
In addition, residents of Badbury Park also had the opportunity to claim their choice of a free £100 cycle voucher or 4-week bus megarider ticket funded by Persimmon and Redrow to encourage use of more sustainable travel alternatives.
