Soho Farmhouse

PFA Consulting has been working with Soho House on the continuing development of Soho Farmhouse, a 100 acre estate, hotel and members club in Oxfordshire, since 2014. 

We have prepared Transport Statements and Transport Assessments for a number of amendments to the original proposals, including the addition of a storage barn, staff house, and extra guest accommodation, as well as alterations to the entry and exit arrangements.  Most recently we have contributed to a planning application for an overflow car park, for use during special events.

PFA Consulting has produced a full Travel Plan for Soho Farmhouse, required as a condition of planning consent, including arranging and analysing staff travel surveys, as well as surveys and postcode analysis to identify member and guest travel patterns.

We have also provided Construction Traffic Management Plans, which differ for different stages of the project, as the access arrangements are varied.

A number of off-site improvements have been agreed with Oxfordshire County Council as local highway authority, and subsequently implemented following negotiation of the S278 agreements.  These improvements include the provision of passing bays and rumble strips on the lane leading to the guest entrance, and the resurfacing of the route to the staff entrance.  A ‘black and white’ signage scheme is now also in place to direct member and guest traffic to Soho Farmhouse via major routes, and away from surrounding villages.
