Streetfields Solar Farm

PFA Consulting provided Highways and Water Management consultancy services for a proposed 17MW Solar Farm, at Streetfields Farm, Churchover, Rugby.

Working alongside the developer Lightsource BP, PFA Consulting identified access strategies for both construction and operation, and a drainage strategy to be incorporated into the site layout. The farms main access from the A5(T) was unsuitable for construction, but proposed for operational purposes, with construction access taken from the B4027.   

Warwickshire County Council, Highways England and the Environment Agency agreed with the access and water management proposals and the Solar Farm was granted planning permission in July 2019.

PFA Consulting have subsequently produced and gained technical approval for detailed design drawings for improving the construction access, and produced a Construction Traffic Management Plan for discharge of a planning condition.
